These days, it feels as though things are changing very rapidly.
Given the situation with the Covid-19 pandemic, we have decided to take a break from face-to-face appointments for the time being. Although we feel the risk in Perth is still low, we do not want to be bringing our clients into a situation where they may contract the virus, no matter how small the risk. We also want to support social distancing measures.
For this reason, we are moving to a fully online format. From today, all new appointments will only be accepted by telephone or online using Zoom. This will not affect existing bookings unless the participants have elected to move their appointment online.
In the past, we have used Skype for video calling; however, this was at a time when our business was predominantly in-person, and video calls were only used on the rare occasion when a party was located interstate or overseas.
Now that we will be running all of our mediations online, we have decided to utilise Zoom as it has a number of features which lend themselves well to managing the mediation in a way where both parties can participate effectively and we are able to provide the same high-quality service as if we were all in the same room.

Clients will need to download the Zoom app, which works on a number of devices including tablets and phones. When you have booked your appointment, we will email you a link for your meeting. You simply click on the link at the time of your appointment to be taken to our virtual waiting room. Once the mediator is ready, you will be admitted into the meeting. Zoom also offers virtual break-a-way rooms for private sessions with the mediator.
