At Family Dispute Resolution WA, we prepare mediation agreements for parties to record all the issues that have been agreed during a mediation session. This can be helpful where more than one session is needed to finalise a matter or where the parties have agreed on some, but not all of the issues.
Mediation Agreements can also be drafted with a view of having the agreement formalised. Being an experienced family lawyer, our mediator can provide a mediation agreement in the format necessary to be turned into Consent Orders. This can save a lot of time and money.
Unless the parties formalise their agreement, the mediation agreement will not be binding. We will ensure that the parties are aware of exactly how the agreement needs to be formalised and provide referrals if necessary.
